What is Children's Liturgy?

  • Children's Liturgy is intended for school aged children in grades 2, 3, and 4. Children will experience the Liturgy of the Word presented in a way that is exciting and relevant for their age group.  Attending Children's Liturgy will allow children to learn new songs, listen to daily readings,  partake in meaningful discussions about the readings, and complete fun activities that extend through out the week.  On special occasions there may be movies and stories related to the weekly themes.

When does Children's Liturgy Take Place?

  • Children's Liturgy runs  October to June during 11 o'clock mass (provided that volunteers are available) two Sundays a month.

  • At the beginning of the mass Father will call children for both Sunday School and Children's Liturgy to the front of the church for a blessing,  Then as a group, children and teachers will proceed down stairs for approximately 20 minutes, to explore the Word of God.

*Father Salvador has expressed that it is important for children in grades 2-4 to spend some Sundays a month in mass so that they can praise and worship with the whole church community.
